Garden Variety, Summer 2010

Harbinger Gallery is pleased to present “Garden Variety”, an exhibition of monoprints created by Guelph-based artist, Tammy Ratcliff. The artist, “…inspired by the multitude of printed bits and pieces on wonderful Japanese tissue papers taking over…” her studio has made a collection of multi-layered monoprints, which revisit past works. Through play and discovery, Ratcliff weaves new and unique vistas from previous editioned works using various print techniques such as etching, relief, lithography and chine collé.

The book ‘this is a love song -sort of” was created with images from the work in the exhibition ‘garden variety’ to complement the wonderful postcard fiction of Linda Kenyon and is one of a number of small edition projects put together by Judith Miller of Stonegarden Press.
