This was a wild time in 2020 when my partner Chris and I were working around the clock at the art store and with each other all the moments we were not working. We decided we needed some time away from each other but it felt impossible with work and the lock-down. We eventually came up with the idea of taking turns in our new (hardly used) studio beside our house. There was a futon to move and work arrangements and meals to be navigated but it came together.

Chris and I each were able to have 2 weeks in the studio alone and we would get together to eat dinner but then went off to our separate spaces after for bed. This time helped each of us so much and I am so grateful that I was able to work on these two canvasses.
